What Black Music Is! A Tribute to Karen Bernod

Posted: June 22, 2013 in Uncategorized

I had to share this music with all of you.

For me, this is REAL BLACK MUSIC

Not the manufactured kind that comes out of a synthesizer

And promoted as the latest, greatest public relations gimmick

And “music” industry moneymaker

By a people who have no appreciation for real talent

Or for black female singers who do not fit the image

Of what they think black female talent should look and sound like.

Ms Bernod’s monumental talent is rare in today’s music industry

Maybe, that’s why everyone I asked said they had never heard of her

But after listening to her sing, I know she is someone everyone should know

It’s Saturday night…

Get a cool drink, find a comfortable chair, dim the lights

and sit back and listen…
